Festival Programme - 13 to 21 March 2010
The Festival Programme has walks and activities programmed each day to choose from in addition to the International Programme and caters for a range of interests and abilities from beginners to experts. The extensive programme includes over 30 walks and activities hosted by a number of Rotorua community organisations and volunteers.

International Programme - 19 to 21 March 2010
FRIDAY 19th MARCH 2010
1.00pm - 9.00pm
Check-in or register and collect registration packs at the Registration
Centre, Neil Hunt Park, Tarawera Road, Rotorua.
5.15pm - 6.15pm
Mayoral Reception and Official Opening for all walkers - District Council
Offices (upstairs), Fenton Street. (Lake End)
6.15pm - 7.15pm
Short walk and street parade leaving from District Council Offices. All local and overseas walkers and friends invited.
SATURDAY 20th MARCH 2010
Day ONE Walks
10km walk, 21km & 42km marathon walks. Walks will follow routes through the "Redwood" and "Whaka" Forests and include some of New Zealand's finest bush and forest scenery.
12 noon - 3pm
Live entertainment on stage at Walk HQ
SUNDAY 21st MARCH 2010
Day TWO Walks
5km, 10km, 20km, 30km walks. Walks will follow routes largely
through the city, parks, thermal reserves, lakeshore, and points of historical
interest.
12 noon - 2.30pm
Live entertainment on stage at Walk HQ
2.30pm - Closing Ceremony
A short closing function and farewell to all NZ and Overseas participants. Presentation of significant IML and NZ awards and team trophies.
START TIMES
Saturday - 42km @ 8.00am, 21km @ 9.00am, 10km @ 10.00am
Sunday - 30km @ 8.00am, 21km @ 9.00am, 10km @ 10.00am
Note - These walks start/finish at the Netherlands Society Clubrooms at Neil Hunt Park, Tarawera Road, Rotorua
FINISH TIMES - Final checkpoint closes:
Saturday - 5.00pm, Sunday - 3.00pm
